What classes are required during 12th grade in Washington State?

What classes are required during 12th grade in Washington State?
I just started writing a novel and the characters live in Seattle, Washington. I'm writing the first chapter now and for description purposes I need to know what classes a normal senior in high school takes. Please help! Thanks! Oh, also, if you can tell me what tests are required to pass each class, that would be great! Do they have EOCT (End of Course Tests), or EOGT (End of Grade Tests)? Do they have any kind of college admittance test they need to take, like the Accuplacer? Thanks!

It depends on what classes they have taken in their previous years. If they have been slacking off, like me, then they would have to take a lot of classes from previous years to make up for all of the credits they missed. A student who is on track to graduating on time usually has: Communication Arts 12 (general English) (1 semester) Communication Arts Elective (can be calligraphy, creative writing, business writing, etc) (1 semester) Some kind of math (year-long) American Government (1 semester) Contemporary World Issues (1 semester) Some kind of science (year-long) Elective classes (Can be 4 different semester-long classes, 2 year-long classes, or 1 year-long class and 2 semester-long classes). Electives can be anything from P.E. to Drama to Choir to Photography to any kind of foreign language. There weren't any End of Course Tests or whatever the formal sounding thing is, because where I grew up, the teachers made their own tests. The college tests that are most commonly taken here would be the SAT and the ACT. AP Tests are only for Advanced Placement classes, which are given in May I think it is. That class after taking those AP tests get the rest of the school year to do whatever the teacher prefers.
